Accessibility statement
Mervo should work for everyone, whatever their abilities and whatever assistive technology they use. This statement covers mervo.fi and describes how the service meets the accessibility requirements.
The standard we follow
We build Mervo to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA in all four countries where the service is available. This covers the requirements of the European Accessibility Act and, in Norway, the requirement of WCAG 2.1 AA.
In Finland the requirements follow from laki eräiden tuotteiden ja palvelujen esteettömyysvaatimuksista (102/2023).
How well we meet the requirements
The service partly meets the requirements. We know about the gaps listed below and are working on them.
Known gaps
- The price chart is a picture. The same data is available as a table and as a text summary under the chart.
- Product names, images and texts come from the stores. They may lack descriptive alternative text or be in another language.
- We have not yet tested every page with a screen reader. We will before launch and report the result here.
How we test
Before every release we check the home page, search, product pages and the price alert list with automated tests (axe), and we go through them using only a keyboard. Automated tests find only part of the problems, so we also test by hand.
