Mervo compares prices from stores in Finland. Here is how stores are listed and how we count clicks.

Listing

Listing is free. Whether a store pays us never affects whether it is listed, how its prices are shown, or whether we link to it. Stores can buy a clearly labelled placement, never a better position in the comparison.

How we rank offers

How we count clicks

Every link from Mervo to a store goes through our own redirect, which records the click. A click is valid when a person opens the store. We do not count:

  • automated traffic, such as search engine crawlers and link previews
  • clicks from data centre and cloud networks
  • a repeat click on the same offer from the same device within 30 minutes

Stores with a price-per-click agreement pay only for valid clicks. With affiliate networks, the network counts sales under its own rules.

We do not store IP addresses or browser details, only one-way codes that change every day.

Badges for your product pages

You can show two Mervo badges on your own product pages. They are live text from our data and update by themselves. When a badge is no longer true, it disappears.

  • Lowest price: the lowest total price among the stores right now, your own total price and your place by total price. Shown while the product is in stock with you.
  • Price proof: shown only while you advertise a reduction on the product and our check shows that the discount matches your own lowest price in the 30 days before it. Every price proof has a serial number and a check date.

Add the badge with this code. Replace your-store with your store's name as it appears in the web address of your store page on Mervo, and GTIN with the product's GTIN (EAN). Use size=compact for the 200 × 60 version.

You may

  • choose the compact or the standard size
  • place the badge anywhere in the page, with at least 8 px of space around it
  • remove the badge at any time

You may not

  • change its colours, type, borders or corners, or add shadows or effects
  • scale, crop or copy it as an image: it is live text
  • show a price proof for another product, or after it has disappeared
  • place a badge inside or next to discount stickers, countdowns or sale banners
