Feed specification

Formats

We read Prisjakt format (CSV or XML), PriceRunner format (CSV or XML), Google Shopping (RSS or Atom with the g: namespace), CSV or other delimited text, other XML and JSON.

We detect the syntax from the file itself. In delimited text we find the separator (comma, semicolon, tab or bar). In XML and JSON we read the largest list of products. Google feeds are recognised by their namespace, and where a field repeats per country, we use the entry for your country.

Encoding and compression

Encodings: UTF-8, UTF-16, ISO-8859-1, Windows-1252. A byte order mark or the XML declaration decides first. Without them we try UTF-8, and otherwise read the file as Windows-1252.

Nordic feeds in Latin-1 work: we read them as Windows-1252, which has the same Å, Ä, Ö, Æ and Ø and also covers € and curly quotes.

Compression: gzip, zip. A zip file must hold exactly one feed file.

Address, size and timing

Your feed must be at a fixed https:// or ftp:// address that always returns your latest feed. Addresses with a date or timestamp in them are rejected.

Up to 200 MB. We fetch it every 6 hours, at a time spread over the day for each store.

Prices

All prices in EUR, including VAT, as your customers see them. A price or currency column in another currency stops the whole import. "kr" is accepted as long as it is your currency.

Write prices the way your shop does: with a comma or a point for decimals, spaces or points between thousands, and ":-" or ",-" for whole amounts all work.

Fields

Names are matched without case, spaces, accents or namespaces, so "Ordinarie pris", "ordinarie_pris" and "g:ordinarie pris" are the same.

What we expect in each field

• GTIN or EAN: a code with a valid check digit. An invalid code is ignored, the row is not. With a GTIN we can match your offer to the right product.
• MPN: stored as you send it.
• Stock: a number above zero, or a word such as "in stock" or "i lager". An unknown word counts as out of stock. Without a stock column, every row counts as in stock.
• Delivery time: a number or a range in days, weeks or hours. "Today" counts as zero days. Values above 365 days are ignored.
• Variants: send each variant as its own row with its own SKU, and put colour and size in their own columns. We have no field for a variant group.
• Images: one image address per row.

Before price and discount percentage

Before price: the price you show as crossed out or as the earlier price. Column names that work include glpris, gammelpris, oldprice, productpriceold, ordinariepris, ordpris, normalpris, forpris, tidigarepris, normaalihinta, aiempihinta, alkuperainenhinta, regularprice, originalprice, wasprice, compareatprice, beforeprice, referenceprice.

Discount percentage: column names that work include rabatt, rabattprocent, rabattpct, rabat, rabatprocent, discount, discountpct, discountpercent, discountpercentage, alennus, alennusprosentti, alennuspct, prosentrabatt, rabattprosent. We accept values above zero and below one hundred.

If you send a sale price below your normal price instead, the normal price counts as the before price.

Without a before price or a percentage, we treat the offer as not advertising a reduction, and it gets no price proof. With only a percentage, we work out the before price it implies. If that is higher than your lowest price in the period, the result says the claim is not supported by your prices. A before price that is not above your current price is ignored.

Member price: column names that work include loyaltyprice, loyaltyprogramprice, memberprice, clubprice, medlemspris, klubbpris, kundeklubbpris, klubpris, medlemspriser, jasenhinta, kantaasiakashinta. Where member prices count towards the lowest price, we use them in the check.
